Keratosis pilaris or KP for short, is a benign skin condition that causes small, rough bumps often described as "chicken skin". These bumps can appear red, white, or skin-toned and may feel dry and rough like sandpaper and slightly itchy. These rough-feeling bumps are actually plugs of dead Skin cells blocking the hair follicles. KP varies in severity from a few small bumps to widespread dispersal. It most commonly affects upper arms and thighs, buttocks, chest, back and the face. It can also appear on the outer sides of the intimate area or along the bikini line, especially where friction, dry skin, or ingrown hairs are common.
It can occur at any age, however it usually starts in childhood and becomes more obvious during the teenage years and adulthood. About 50-80% of teenagers will develop this condition in their teens. Among adults, about 40% will have it at some point in adulthood. It is harmless, not infectious and not contagious meaning you can’t get it from other people and you can’t give it to anyone.
While there is no cure for KP, maintaining a targeted skincare routine to increase cell turnover, pore unclogging and deep hydration will reduce recurrence dramatically. Moreover, special attention should be payed to the cleansing step as harsh cleansers and heavily fragranced products can irritate the affected area and worsen KP.

Retinol Intimate Renewing Cream (75ml)
This Retinol Intimate Renewing Cream is a non-Greasy and fast absorbing formula that combines 8 clinically proven active ingredients that help alleviate KP signs on the intimate skin. Stabilised Microencapsulated Pure Retinol helps improve keratosis pilaris (KP) primarily by accelerating skin cell turnover. Retinol speeds up the natural shedding of dead cells, preventing them from clogging pores and allowing newer, smoother skin to surface. By promoting this faster cell renewal, retinol helps to gradually soften the texture of KP-affected areas and reduce build-up. Bakuchiol, the most well-known phyto-retinol, offers the same benefits as Retinol. It amplifies those benefits while keeping Retinol dosage within safe limits. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help reduce redness and irritation often associated with KP. Centella Asiatica Extract offers soothing, healing, and anti-inflammatory benefits and is a key element in skin repair and regeneration. KP often involves inflammation and irritation around clogged hair follicles, and Centella Asiatica helps calm the skin, reducing redness and sensitivity. It also supports skin barrier repair and enhances hydration, which can improve the rough, dry texture commonly seen with KP. Topical Hyaluronic Acid (HA) supports deep hydration and a healthy skin barrier. It softens dry, textured areas and improve smoothness. Oat Beta Glucan improves overall skin health and offers soothing, wound healing and antioxidant benefits as well as transepidermal water loss (TEWL) reduction. Continuous use of Oat Beta Glucan results in significant reduction of overall roughness. White Tea Leaf Extract acts as a skin protectant conserving skin elasticity while offering antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. When applied topically, it can reduce oxidative stress by inhibiting the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals which can induce oxidation of lipids, proteins and DNA causing damage to skin cells. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) improves tissue regeneration, strengthens the skin barrier and is a strong anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory compound. CoEnzyme Q10 maintains sufficient cellular energy levels for effective tissue regeneration and offers antioxidant protection against reactive oxygen species (ROS). Together, these 8 active ingredients work synergistically to fight KP and improve Skin Texture. This is a fragrance-free cream however, due to the high concentration of herbal extracts, it has a subtle, pleasant herbal scent.
Urea Body Smoothing Cream (75ml)
This Urea Body Smoothing Cream is a non-comedogenic and fast absorbing formula designed for dry, rough and bumpy skin patches on the body. The formula contains two powerhouse moisturising ingredients, Urea and Lactic Acid. They both occur naturally in our skin as part of our natural moisturising factor (NMF). They are effective humectants that hold onto water and provide deep moisturising to tackle dry, flaky and itchy skin. They are also effective keratolytic agents meaning they can help reduce dead skin build up on the surface to smoothen rough and bumpy skin. Keratolytics are especially helpful in skin conditions caused by clogged hair follicles such as Keratosis pilaris (KP) commonly known as strawberry skin or chicken skin. Colloidal Oatmeal in this formula contains lipids that nourish, moisturise and soften the skin texture to combat roughness and flakiness. These lipids re-enforce the skin barrier and replace skin's lost oils in dry and irritated skin. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help decrease itchiness and redness for an effective soothing action. Betaine in this formula is an osmoprotectant which occurs naturally in our skin and controls the right water balance in cells to protect skin cells against dehydration. Shea Butter is a naturally occurring plant oil that contains many beneficial nutrients including vitamins A, E and F as well as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds. It effectively locks in moisture and softens the skin without clogging pores.
Gentle Intimate Cleansing Gel (75ml)
This Gentle Intimate Cleansing Gel is specifically formulated for the sensitive skin of the intimate area. It is the next generation intimate wash which is sulfate, soap and fragrance free. It contains mild cleansing agents instead to avoid striping natural lipids from the skin surface. Skin-identical Biolipids (vegetable derived) in this formula leave a protective layer after each use to strengthen the skin barrier and alleviate dryness. It also contains soothing Aloe Vera Extract and Allantoin to provide synergistic anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant benefits.
