Urea (synthetic)
- Part of our skin's natural moisturising factor (NMF) which reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and increases water content, resistance against osmotic stress as well as optimizing the skin barrier function
- Topical use offers deep moisturising to tackle dry, flaky and itchy skin
- Significantly improves, softens and moisturises thick or callused skin on the knees, hands and elbows
- At higher concentrations it is also a keratolytic agent meaning it can help reduce dead skin build up on skin’s surface to smoothen rough and bumpy skin
- Multiple clinical trials have shown significant clinical improvement by topical urea treatments on skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and Keratosis pilaris (KP)
Lactic Acid
- Part of our skin's natural moisturising factor (NMF) which attracts and retains water on the skin to reduce dehydration
- An Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that speeds up desquamation which is the natural process of shedding dead skin cells. It gently breaks the bonds that hold dead, dry and scaly skin cells on the surface

Colloidal Oatmeal
- A form of oatmeal that is produced by finely grinding oats then boiling them. This process allows a better delivery of its active ingredients to the skin
- Has strong emollient characteristics making it an excellent moisturiser. It contains lipids that nourish, moisturise and soften the skin texture. These lipids re-enforce the skin barrier and replace skin's lost oils in dry and irritated skin
- Contains polysaccharide components such as Beta-glucans with strong hygroscopic (water-holding) properties. They Draw moisture to the skin's surface, increase hydration levels and reduce the appearance of roughness and flakiness
- Contains phenolic components such as Avenanthramides which have significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help decrease itchiness and redness for an effective soothing action
- Hydrated granules of Colloidal oatmeal adhere to the surface of the skin and provide a film attracting humidity.
Betaine
- Occurs naturally in our own body. Skin cells accumulate betaine actively during environmental stress such as osmotic stress and UV-radiation
- It also occurs naturally in plants such as sugar beet
- A gentle osmoprotectant which controls the right water balance in cells without interfering with normal cellular processes. It protects skin cells against dehydration and restores cell water balance
- Strengthens skin barrier by Improving the quality and cohesion of Stratum Corneum which is the outer layer of skin

Shea Butter
- Naturally occurring plant oil that contains many beneficial nutrients including vitamins A, E and F as well as triglycerides
