Our Intimate Ingrown Hair Routine includes 3 products from our intimate care range which have been specifically designed with women's wellbeing in mind. 

It is designed for the most sensitive areas of the body; bikini line, hair-bearing genital areas (mons pubis and labia majora) as well as inner thighs. 

Hair removal, especially shaving and waxing may result in ingrown hairs. If the hair is grown just under the surface, it may surface after a while due to the natural skin shedding (Desquamation). However, the ones growing deeper into the skin can be persistent causing discomfort, inflammation and even infections. Physical exfoliators like physical scrubs should be avoided as they can further irritate the skin. Harsh cleansers should also be avoided as they can irritate and dry out the already inflamed skin. 

Gentle chemical exfoliation helps resurface the hair as well as unclog skin pores to clear pimples. Cleansing the affected area using a gentle cleanser will help active exfoliants penetrate the skin more efficiently. Finishing the treatment using a non-occlusive, oil free Hydrator helps the skin calm and regulate at a faster rate.

For a simple Ingrown hair solution, we recommend following the below steps;

1. Cleanse intimate skin using the Gentle Intimate Cleansing Gel in the shower. 
   
2. Exfoliate using the Gentle Intimate Exfoliating Serum 3 times a week. Allow to dry before moisturising. Once the condition has lifted, continue with once a week application to avoid recurrence.
   
3. Hydrate by applying Prebiotic Intimate Hydrating Gel to the affected areas.

Sun protection is recommended during this treatment for any areas exposed to sunlight.

Gentle Intimate Exfoliating Serum

This Gentle Intimate Exfoliating Serum contains a carefully selected combination of 4 Hydroxy Acids to help visibly reduce the appearance of pimples and ingrown hairs. It is specifically formulated for the most sensitive areas of the body; bikini line, hair-bearing genital areas (mons pubis and labia majora) as well as inner thighs.

Salicylic acid (Also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid or BHA) in this formula works by penetrating deep into skin’s pores to unclog and dissolve excess oil and dead skin cells to address pimples and inflammation around ingrown hair. Mandelic Acid and Lactic Acid (Also known as Alpha Hydroxy Acids or AHA) are gentle exfoliating agents that penetrate the skin loosening the intercellular cement (The glue that holds the skin cells together) to allow dead skin cells to fall away. Gluconolactone (Also known as Poly Hydroxy Acid or PHA) is a new generation of exfoliating agents which work similar to AHAs but gentler. Gluconolactone, Mandelic Acid and Lactic Acid have different molecular sizes allowing them to penetrate into different layers of the superficial part of the skin. Together they help increase the speed of skin cell turnover to clear pimples and ingrown hairs faster. The addition of Allantoin soothes inflammation, whilst Propanediol and Sodium Lactate provide essential hydration and contribute to the skin’s natural barrier function. End result is effective exfoliation of the skin on multiple layers, unclogging pores, and dissolving dead skin to help combat breakouts and ingrown hairs.

Gentle Intimate Cleansing Gel

This Gentle Intimate Cleansing Gel is specifically formulated for the sensitive skin of the feminine intimate area. It is the next generation intimate wash which is sulfate, soap and fragrance free. It contains mild cleansing agents instead to avoid striping natural lipids from the surface of the skin. Skin identical Biolipids (vegetable derived) in this formula leave a protective layer after each use to strengthen the skin barrier and alleviate dryness. It also contains soothing Aloe Vera Extract and Allantoin to provide synergistic anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant benefits. The balanced pH combined with Lactic Acid ensures high compatibility with the feminine microbiome making this product gentle enough for daily use.

This Prebiotic Intimate Hydrating Gel provides instant relief for dry uncomfortable genital skin but more importantly contains a unique combination of powerful humectants that act as a water reservoir and release moisture gradually over time for long-lasting hydration. It contains anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory agents to alleviate irritation and inflammation for continuous comfort. The balanced pH combined with prebiotics encourages the development of a healthy microbiome which assists in reducing odour, redness, and itchiness.
